fall wedding at gardens of woodstock | woodstock, il
Erich and I live in a small town nestled between Lake and McHenry counties, called Lakemoor. I've never even gotten an inquiry from a couple in my town, so I was thrilled when Jenelle and Sean — also from Lakemoor — asked me to photograph their wedding! Over the months before their wedding day, I truly felt like we became friends, and I was so excited for their wedding day at The Gardens of Woodstock to arrive!
Jenelle and Sean had a beautiful wedding party that consisted of friends who all knew each other dating back to high school. The honest friendship and love these people all had for one another -- and especially Jenelle and Sean -- was a beautiful sight. The entire wedding party, with the exception of Jenelle's gorgeous lace gown, was dressed in black. Jenelle carried an incredible bouquet creative by my favorite Chicago area floral designer, John at The Twisted Stem...all in deep red, including roses and calla lilies. The bridesmaids bouquets and ceremony florals were equally stunning. Especially sweet was her bouquet wrapped with tulle from her mother's wedding veil.
The morning of their wedding was rainy, so the ceremony was moved indoors, but the sun appeared just in time for stunning sunset photos in the beautiful waterfall-filled gardens on the venue property.
