A brand session for a wedding officiant who leads with heart
When your role in someone’s wedding is to tell their love story, your brand can’t just look polished and professional…it has feel warm, personal, and connected.
Couples planning a wedding aren’t usually just looking for someone to officiate their ceremony. They’re looking for someone they can trust to hold one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.
That was exactly the heart behind Carla’s brand session, owner and officiant of Forever Incredible. Carla’s work lives in the laughter, the tears, and the stories that make a custom wedding ceremony.
Translating something that emotional into visuals for her brand is where my FRAME method really had to step up to the plate.
When your client’s experience is the brand
Carla’s brand isn’t about a product you can hold, or a transformation you can screenshot. It’s all about how people feel when they work with her.
Her couples describe wanting an officiant who feels like an old friend, who can blend warmth, humor, and heart into a ceremony that leaves people smiling, laughing, and maybe even shedding a tear.
Her couples care about meaning, connection, and their very personal stories.
Capturing still images for a small business owner who’s entire brand is built around an experience, a moment in time — is a unique challenge for brand photography.
The goal wasn’t “more photos”
Like a lot of service-based business owners, Carla wasn’t lacking experience or depth in her work. What she needed was a visual presence was aligned with everything she brings to the table for her clients.
She needed images that could:
- capture the warmth and personality she brings into every ceremony
- show the relational, collaborative nature of her process
- telling (with photos!) how much thoughtfulness and care she puts into every wedding
- communicate her professionalism without losing the heart behind it
The strategy behind the session
When we planned this session, the focus wasn’t on random “content,” or pictures of Carla “looking cute.”
We set out to create intentional visuals that reflect how Carla works with her clients and what it actually feels like to be in the process of creating a custom ceremony with her.
This is the kind of intentional planning I build into every session through my FRAME method: so your photos aren’t just beautiful, they’re aligned with where your business is going.
All this meant capturing things like…
Storytelling
Scenes that mirror the kinds of ceremonies she creates—personal, thoughtful, and full of meaning. That includes putting as much effort into planning what she’ll wear for the ceremony (she will be the couple’s wedding photos after all!), as she does with scripting the ceremony.
Warmth + personality
We included some deeply personal things to Carla, like the kittens she fosters, and some of her favorite hobbies, such as crocheting, and the Chicago Cubs.
Connection
Aiming for moments that feel real, not staged. We intentionally shared some of the real life wedding couples she’s married and the diverse clients she love to serve.
Future plans
Carla hopes to travel more for weddings, and she even creates custom scents for her couples on their wedding day. We’re always aiming to be forward-thinking when planning a brand shoot so the photos can last beyond a year.
Authority without distance
Professional and confident…without losing the sense that Carla is someone you want standing beside you on your wedding day.

To bring this session to life even more, Carla invited content creator, Laura from Unveil the Day, to capture video throughout the shoot.
If your brand is built on your client’s experience
If your work is rooted in trust, relationships, and connection, your visuals need to do more than just look good. You need to begin build trust with the people who land on your website, before they’ve ever even spoken with you.
Your dream clients need to feel what it’s like to work with you. And that trust can be built or torn down within seconds of visiting your website.
Those clients don’t necessarily choose the one with the most experience, or the cheapest (or the most expensive!). They choose who they trust.

If your current visuals aren’t building trust with your dreamiest clients, it might be time to change that. BOOK A DISCOVERY CALL with me, and let’s talk about it.
