You’ve probably heard the phrase “you get what you pay for.”
But in brand photography, I’ve found something even truer…
You get what you plan for.
When your photographer walks into your shoot with crystal-clear strategy — when you know exactly what story the two of you will be telling, who you’re talking to, and what you need those photos to do for your business — magic happens.
That’s the secret behind my Power Hour Sessions:
They’re not “mini sessions.”
They’re not “let’s-see-what-we-get” shoots.
They’re one focused hour backed by the same brand-photo strategy I use for my full sessions — and that’s why they work.
When the strategy is solid, one hour is all you need.
Before you ever step in front of the camera, we’ve already done the deep strategic work — your storyline, your purpose, your visual direction.
So by the time we’re shooting, there’s zero guesswork. Every frame is intentional, every photo has a purpose, and you end up with a gallery that feels like you: sharp, strategic, and ready to plug straight into your marketing and website.
One client told me, “I can’t believe how much we captured in just one hour. These photos are perfectly aligned with who I am and where I’m going in my business.”
That’s the difference strategy makes.
How a Power Hour Differs from a Full Brand Session
Power Hour sessions are built for focus and efficiency. They’re perfect for capturing one clear, cohesive storyline — but they’re not meant to replace a full, multi-story brand shoot.
If you’re trying to decide which option fits your brand best, here’s a side-by-side look:
Power Hour vs. Signature Session
| Feature | Power Hour Session | 3-Hour Signature Session |
|---|---|---|
| Shoot Length | 1 hour | 3 hours |
| Number of Storylines | 1 storyline | Up to 3 storylines |
| Locations | 1 location (Crystal Lake studio location included) | Multiple locations possible — select from my curated list |
| Number of Images | Streamlined gallery, about 40 images (fewer, highly intentional images) | Full gallery, over 100+ images (broader variety across settings) |
| Video / B-Roll | Not included (photo only) | 8-10 video clips included |
| Ideal for | Entrepreneurs who have ONE offer or ONE client type, OR those needing fresh images for a new offer or launch | Multi-offer brands serving different audiences (ex: 1:1 coach + corporate coach, wedding planner + officiant) |
| Prep & Strategy | Full FRAME strategy process included | Full FRAME strategy process included |
| When Offered | Offered twice per year (early Summer + Black Friday) | Available year-round |
Who is a Power Hour for?
A Power Hour is your best fit if:
- You have one main offer.
- You have one client type (like you’re a 1:1 coach only, or you’re a luxury wedding planner only).
- You’re a new business owner and just want to dip your toe into the waters of a strategic brand photo shoot.
- You’ve already done a full brand session in the recent and just need fresh visuals for a new launch, website update, or seasonal offer.
If you serve more than one audience type, or you have several offers under your brand, the 3-Hour Signature Session gives us the time and variety to tell your full brand story.
